Frequently Asked Questions

Who should read "premature"?

"Premature" captures the emotions of premature birth for the family and friends of preemies, as well as for grown persons who were born premature and for persons at risk of having a premature infant.  In addition, "premature" provides unique insight into the experience of having a premature baby for doctors, nurses and other personnel in the neonatal intensive care unit, as well as for medical educators and students.  Of course, those interested in poetry or the subject matter also will be moved and touched by "premature."

No, at this time we can only ship to addresses in the United States.

If you would like to send the book as a gift, at the time you place your order please contact us by email by clicking here.   We will arrange to include a gift note with your order.  At this time we cannot provide gift wrapping.

Do you give volume discounts?

If you would like to order more than ten books, please contact us for special terms.  You can contact us by email by clicking here.

Why isn't the book available in stores?

"Premature" is offered exclusively through this website in order to communicate directly with the premature infant and neonatal communities.  Very little poetry is published in the United States, and the poetry books which are published are directed only toward the readers of literary journals.  We decided to bypass what there is of the poetry publishing industry so that we could speak directly to the community of "premature".
